DTEK Launches Ukraine's Largest Energy Storage System with US Collaboration

DTEK, led by Rinat Akhmetov, has unveiled Ukraine's largest energy storage system with a capacity of 200 MW, sufficient to power 600,000 apartments for two hours. The €125 million project, implemented with US company Fluence Energy, was completed in six months and aims to enhance energy stability amid ongoing Russian attacks.
Energy Minister Svitlana Hrinchuk emphasized the importance of energy storage systems in Ukraine's recovery. Since the invasion, Akhmetov's initiatives have directed significant funds towards military and humanitarian efforts.
