Dublin City Council Plans Clothes Recycling Banks Roll-Out in April Following Contract Finalization

CIRCULAR ECONOMY & RECYCLING

Dublin City Council is set to finalize a contract for a new clothes bank operator within two weeks, with a roll-out expected in April. Councillor Donna Cooney highlighted ongoing issues with dumping and unsightly conditions at existing banks.

The new banks will feature closeable drawers to reduce scavenging, and CCTV monitoring is planned for selected locations. A report on the benefits of the new provider is anticipated for publication once the contract is finalized.
