Egypt Approves Kemet's Renewable Projects, Aims for 42% Renewable Energy by 2030

The Egyptian Cabinet has authorized Kemet Industries Group to implement four renewable projects, including two solar plants and a battery storage system, expecting completion by 2027. A MoU with China's TBEA aims to localize solar equipment manufacturing. Additionally, EETC launched a tender for a 500 MW solar project in the West Nile region, with bids due by May 11, 2026, supporting Egypt's goal of achieving 42% renewable energy by 2030.
