Element3 Begins Lithium Carbonate Production in Midland, Texas, First U.S. Project in 50 Years

Element3 has launched lithium carbonate production from Permian Basin produced water at a facility in Midland, Texas, marking the first new lithium mining project in the U.S. in over 50 years. The facility's capacity is 3,000 tons per annum, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Texas officials, including Governor Greg Abbott. Element3's technology is U.S. developed and aims to meet the growing lithium demand projected to increase by 100 times by 2030.
