HYDROGENGEOTHERMALCARBON CAPTUREFUSION & ADVANCED NUCLEAR POWER
Equinix, Inc. has committed over S$9 million to support Singapore's clean energy transition through 2028, in alignment with the Singapore Green Plan 2030. The funding will help diversify the energy mix by exploring cleaner technologies such as hydrogen and geothermal energy, while five organizations, including Nanyang Technological University and the National University of Singapore Energy Studies Institute, will conduct research on various energy sources. Singapore aims to import up to 4 gigawatts of low-carbon electricity by 2035, contributing to 30 percent of its projected electricity supply.
