EtherealX Secures $21M Funding Round Led by TDK Ventures and Accel for Reusable Launch Vehicle Development
Ethereal Exploration Guild, known as EtherealX, is finalizing a funding round expected to raise approximately $21 million, co-led by TDK Ventures and Vietnam's BIG Capital, with participation from Accel. The round has grown from an initial target of $15 million due to strong demand.
This funding follows a $5 million seed round raised in August 2024. EtherealX has secured $130 million in contracts from six customers, indicating substantial commercial interest. The startup is developing the Razor Crest Mk-1, a fully reusable medium-lift launch vehicle targeting a first launch in early 2027, capable of carrying up to eight tonnes to low Earth orbit.
The company has acquired 16 acres in Tamil Nadu for operations and is developing key components for its launch system, which aims to offer competitive pricing between $350 and $2,000 per kilogram. India's space sector aims for an 8-10% share of the global market in the next decade.
