EU Consortium Develops Megawatt PEM Fuel Cell System for Shipping

HYDROGENFUEL CELL

The MiNaMi project, coordinated by Finland's VTT, aims to develop Europe's first megawatt PEM fuel cell for shipping. The system targets over 80,000 operating hours and a million nautical miles of reliable use.

Future applications may extend to rail and stationary energy. Key partners include Powercell Sweden, DFDS, and Allengra, which is providing hydrogen flow measurement sensors.
