EUSPA Contracts Arianespace for Launch of Second-Generation Galileo Satellites with Ariane 6

The European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) has contracted Arianespace to launch the second pair of Galileo Second Generation satellites using the Ariane 6 rocket, with the mission set for January 27, 2026. This launch, marking Ariane 6's fifth for the Galileo program, aims to enhance the EU's autonomous satellite navigation capabilities and reduce reliance on non-European launch services. Two additional Ariane 6 launches are planned to complete the first generation of Galileo satellites.
