Everest Metals has filed a full international patent application for its direct rubidium extraction process, enhancing efficiency and scalability. This follows a provisional application from February 2025.

The process, developed in collaboration with Edith Cowan University, has demonstrated up to 97% rubidium recovery from ore sourced from the Mt Edon project in Western Australia. The Patent Cooperation Treaty filing allows the company to defer national patent applications while further developing the technology and assessing commercial opportunities.
