Everllence has been selected by EPC contractor Saipem to supply the core compressor and expander technology for the Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) project at Stockholm's Värtaverket biomass power plant. This initiative aims to capture up to 800,000 tons of biogenic CO2 annually, surpassing the emissions from all road traffic in Stockholm.

The captured carbon will be stored beneath the North Sea via Northern Lights, contributing to Sweden's goal of becoming climate positive by 2030. The project has secured carbon removal agreements with major companies, including Microsoft.
