Everllence Supplies Advanced Technology for Major Carbon Capture Initiative at Värtaverket Biomass Power Plant
CARBON CAPTURE
Everllence has been contracted by Saipem to provide compressor and expander technology for a major bioenergy carbon capture and storage (BECCS) project at the Värtaverket biomass power plant in Stockholm. This facility aims to capture and permanently store up to 800,000 tons of biogenic CO2 annually, significantly contributing to Sweden's climate goals.
The captured CO2 will be stored beneath the North Sea, and the project has secured agreements with global companies, including Microsoft. The technology used is expected to set new standards for efficiency and scalability in carbon capture.
