Exide Industries Ltd has invested ₹100 crore in its subsidiary Exide Energy Solutions Ltd (EESL) by subscribing to equity shares. This investment increases Exide's total stake in EESL to ₹4,352.23 crore.

EESL, focused on lithium-ion battery production for electric vehicles, is establishing a greenfield plant in Bengaluru. As of March 31, 2025, EESL reported a paid-up capital of ₹1,391.71 crore and a net worth of ₹2,738.06 crore, with a loss after tax of ₹209.12 crore for FY25.
