Farm Biomethane Limited has proposed the construction of an anaerobic digestion plant at Elveden Estate in Suffolk, which will produce 1,000 m³/day of biomethane by processing approximately 98,500 tonnes of waste and crops annually. The facility aims to minimize landscape impact while injecting the generated biomethane into the National Grid, with over 40% of the feedstock sourced from the estate. The application is currently under review by Suffolk County Council.
