FCC Concludes Investigation into EchoStar's 5G Compliance Following Major Spectrum Sales
SPACE ECONOMY
The FCC has officially concluded its investigation into EchoStar's compliance with 5G buildout milestones and spectrum rights. Chair Brendan Carr's letter confirmed that EchoStar has met its obligations, dismissing a petition from VTel.
This decision follows EchoStar's recent announcements of significant spectrum sales to AT&T and SpaceX, which have satisfied the agency's requirements. The investigation began in May 2025 amid concerns over delayed deployments and negotiations for timeline extensions with the previous administration.
