President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. met with Mitsubishi Corp. President Katsuya Nakanishi to discuss expanding investments in Philippine railway and subway projects, aiming to accelerate project completion and create jobs.

The collaboration includes enhancing clean wind energy initiatives, with Mitsubishi already involved in the Metro Manila Subway since 2022. Construction of a power substation for the subway project commenced in May 2025.
