Frontier Buyers, Including Google and Stripe, Invest $44.2M in NULIFE's Biowaste CO2 Removal Technology
Frontier buyers, including Google and Stripe, have committed $44.2 million to NULIFE GreenTech for carbon dioxide removal (CDR) of 122,000 tons of CO2 from 2026 to 2030. This agreement follows a 2024 partnership where Frontier became NULIFE's first customer, with NULIFE having delivered over half of the contracted volume since then.
This marks Frontier's third agreement with a Canadian company, totaling over $100 million invested in climate solutions in Canada. NULIFE's approach involves injecting bio-oil and biochar into underground storage to enhance CO2 removal efficiency.
The company’s Saskatoon site has logged extensive operating hours on HTL processors and delivered independently verified carbon credits. The technology is compatible with various biowaste types, and Frontier estimates it could achieve 1.5 gigatons of annual CDR by 2040.
