Galileo Mining has started diamond core drilling at its Callisto platinum group element (PGE) discovery in Western Australia. The Callisto deposit, discovered in 2022, is the first of its kind in Australia.

The current drilling aims to explore deep mineralisation and gather samples for metallurgical testing. Galileo plans to utilize WA state funding of up to $180,000 to assist drilling costs. The initial drill hole is set to reach 600m depth, with potential extensions based on results.
