Gas Malaysia Bhd has awarded engineering procurement construction and commissioning contracts to MTC Orec Sdn Bhd and Enproserve M Sdn Bhd for biomethane purification plants in Trong and Air Kuning, Perak. The project, expected to be completed within 13 months, aims to enhance the company's green gas portfolio and support Malaysia's renewable energy initiatives. The plants will process raw biogas to produce high-quality biomethane, which will be integrated into the existing natural gas distribution system, providing a low-carbon alternative to fossil fuels.
