Goldwind to Develop Major Green Hydrogen Project in Inner Mongolia
HYDROGEN
Goldwind, a prominent Chinese wind turbine manufacturer, has received board approval for a significant green hydrogen-based ammonia and methanol project in Inner Mongolia. The initiative, costing approximately 18.9 billion yuan ($2.7 billion), will utilize 3 GW of wind power, with over 80% dedicated to hydrogen production, potentially requiring around 1.2 GW of electrolysis capacity. The project aims to produce 600,000 tonnes of green methanol and 400,000 tonnes of ammonia annually.
