Google Partners with Xcel Energy to Build Data Center in Pine Island, Minnesota

Google is constructing a new data center in Pine Island, Minnesota, in collaboration with Xcel Energy. Google will cover all electric service costs and contribute 1,900 megawatts of clean energy, including wind and solar.
The project aims to support local economic growth and meet Minnesota's clean energy goals. The partnership also includes a $50 million investment in Xcel's Capacity Connect Program. The Electric Service Agreement will be reviewed by the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission.
