Green Plains Reports Increased Ethanol Capacity and Earnings in Q4 2025
CARBON CAPTURE
Green Plains Inc. reported stronger fourth-quarter earnings in 2025, driven by improved plant performance and higher ethanol production capacity. The company increased its production capacity to 730 million gallons per year, with several plants exceeding original capacity.
Green Plains launched CO2 compression equipment at its Nebraska plants, enhancing its carbon capture efforts. Despite a decrease in ethanol sales volumes, net income rose by $66.9 million, supported by improved margins and clean fuel production credits.
