Grimsby Community Energy Secures £100,000 for Battery Storage from Great British Energy

Grimsby Community Energy has been awarded £100,000 by Great British Energy to develop a battery energy storage system. This funding is part of a larger initiative where up to £1bn is being allocated to community energy projects across the UK.
Additionally, Power Hull will receive £34,500 to establish Hull's first local energy club for affordable electricity. The funding is part of the government's Local Power Plan aimed at overcoming barriers to community energy development.
