Guangdong has inaugurated the world's first continuous, large-scale chemical recycling plant for mixed waste plastics in Jieyang. Dongyue Chemical's project aims to recycle 200,000 tons per year using innovative one-step technology, transforming low-value waste into high-value resources.

A 200-hectare green recycling industrial park is also underway, with a second-phase investment of 22.6 billion yuan to produce over 2 million tons of green olefins annually. This advancement positions Guangdong as a significant player in the global petrochemical industry.
