On December 18, the Guangzhou Municipal Government announced the 'Several Measures (Trial) for Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Hydrogen Energy Industry in Baiyun District.' This initiative is aimed at advancing the hydrogen energy sector in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Key provisions include construction subsidies for hydrogen refueling stations with a capacity of 500 kg or more, providing 500,000 yuan for combined oil and hydrogen stations and 250,000 yuan for other stations, with a total subsidy limit of 5 million yuan per station. A 2% subsidy on investments over 50 million yuan is also available for hydrogen projects.

Additionally, the measures promote using hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in logistics and support advanced equipment purchases. The program encourages innovative projects and aims to bolster talent in the hydrogen energy sector, with a maximum subsidy of 10 million yuan for major projects.
