Gujarat Budget 2026 Allocates Funds for Blue Energy and Thermal-linked BESS Initiatives

The Gujarat government has allocated ₹4,019.86 crore in its 2026-27 budget for clean energy initiatives, focusing on Blue Energy systems and battery energy storage. It includes ₹5 crore for a Detailed Project Report (DPR) on Blue Energy systems along the coast and ₹1 crore for a feasibility study on co-located Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with thermal projects. Additional measures aim to enhance grid resilience and support renewable energy integration.
