The Government of Gujarat has unveiled the Pumped Storage Project (PSP) Policy 2025, aiming to achieve 75 GWh of storage capacity by 2035 and develop 100 PSPs by 2047. The policy, which seeks to attract investments of approximately ₹750 billion, recognizes PSPs as a key solution for energy storage, facilitating the absorption of surplus renewable energy and supplying power during peak demand.
