The Golden Valley Electric Association Board of Directors has approved a $125.4 million budget for a major infrastructure project, which includes the development of a new battery energy storage system and necessary upgrades. The budget will utilize $100 million in federal forgivable loans and allocates up to $1 million for project design and transformer acquisition.
