WIND ENERGY

The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) has partnered with RE+ Events to host the APAC Wind Energy Summit 2026 in Hanoi, Vietnam, reinforcing its status as a leading wind energy event in the Asia-Pacific region. This collaboration aims to accelerate global wind energy deployment by enhancing partnerships among governments, regulatory bodies, and supply chains.

The summit will gather industry leaders, policymakers, and financial institutions to discuss strategies for overcoming barriers to energy transition. Vietnam aims to achieve six to 17 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2035 and plans to initiate its first six GW of offshore projects in 2026, coinciding with the summit. The event will also facilitate GWEC's participation in RE+ 26 in Las Vegas in November 2026, ensuring wind energy's visibility in the clean energy sector.
