H2HUBPlus Project Launches to Expand Hydrogen Training in Central Germany
The H2HUBPlus project will begin in December 2025, involving Anhalt University, Otto von Guericke University, Merseburg University, and two Fraunhofer Institutes. It aims to provide connected training programs in hydrogen for energy sector professionals, students, and the public in Central Germany.
The project, funded with approximately 5.3 million euros by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, will focus on creating educational partnerships, flexible training formats, and public engagement initiatives. Central Germany, particularly Saxony-Anhalt, is positioned as a key region for green hydrogen production, necessitating skilled workforce development to support ongoing and future hydrogen projects. The initiative builds on previous H2HUB efforts and emphasizes collaboration between academia, industry, and government to enhance the local hydrogen economy.
