Hassan Allam awarded contract for 200 MW Solar and Storage Plant in Egypt

Hassan Allam Utilities announced the award of a contract for a 200 MW solar power plant in Benban, Egypt, including a 120 MWh battery storage system. The project, in partnership with Infinity Power, EBRD, and Meridiam, aims to begin commercial operations in the second half of 2026. It is part of a larger initiative targeting 1,200 MW of solar capacity and aims to help Egypt meet its renewable energy goals.
