Himachal Pradesh has signed an agreement with Oil India Limited to advance green hydrogen production, as announced by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu during the 'Enviro-Ideation Hackathon' in Shimla. The state, which has banned single-use plastics since 2009, is also focusing on economic revamps, including converting diesel buses to electric and supporting education initiatives for orphaned children. The hackathon awarded cash prizes for innovative projects and featured a 'Waste to Wonder' Model Competition, alongside a donation of Rs 2 crore to the Chief Minister Relief Fund.
