Hiringa and MyFarm Develop Ruakākā Hydrogen Hub to Reduce Carbon Emissions

HYDROGEN

Hiringa and MyFarm are collaborating to establish a hydrogen hub in Ruakākā, New Zealand, designed to significantly reduce carbon emissions through a refuelling station and hydrogen-fuelled trucks for transporting solar panels. With a $17.7 million investment from approximately 70 investors, the project will harness energy from five solar farms under a 10-year agreement, aiming to prevent 10 tonnes of carbon emissions before its launch and create 50 jobs. This initiative is part of New Zealand's broader strategy to promote low-emission transport across various sectors.
