Hutton has secured nearly £44,000 from the Scottish government's Nature Restoration Fund for a project at Glensaugh Research Farm, aimed at developing a restoration plan for the North Esk headwater catchment area. The initiative, in collaboration with Forestry and Land Scotland, focuses on habitat and species restoration, water management, and addressing challenges posed by intensified food production. Evidence gathering for the plan is ongoing, with a completion target set for March 2026.
