Malaysia's Hydrexia has successfully concluded a trial involving maritime shipments of hydrogen using its solid-state metal hydride containers. The trial, initiated in September 2025, involved shipments to various seaports in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, with SEDC Energy managing transportation. Hydrexia's technology aims to provide a safer, modular hydrogen storage solution without the need for high-pressure or cryogenic systems, although it does face efficiency challenges due to heating requirements.
