The EU-funded HyMetBat project, set to run until 2028, aims to enhance sustainable battery technology through the development of reliable characterization methods. Coordinated by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt in Berlin, the initiative involves over 30 partners and utilizes advanced analytical techniques to monitor the electrochemical and mechanical properties of batteries during operation. This project aligns with the EU's Green Deal and Switzerland's climate neutrality goals for 2050.
