Hynfra and Promet-Plast Partner to Advance Hydrogen-Ammonia Projects in MENA
Hynfra has formed a strategic partnership with Promet-Plast to enhance its hydrogen-based ammonia project pipeline in Egypt, Oman, Jordan, and Mauritania. A Letter of Intent was signed by Hynfra CEO Tomoho Umeda and Promet-Plast founder Andrzej Jeżewski.
The collaboration will utilize Promet-Plast's renewable energy and hydrogen integration technologies in Hynfra's 1.1 million tonne-per-year green ammonia developments. Promet-Plast's technology has been validated at the Oława ECO Energy Cluster in Poland, which features advanced integrated renewable energy and hydrogen systems.
This alliance aims to mitigate project development risks for Hynfra while strengthening its position in global hydrogen and ammonia markets. Additionally, Promet-Plast has secured approximately €30 million ($35 million) from the EU's Recovery and Resilience Facility for RFNBO hydrogen production.
