HyTerra and GeoKiln Partner for Engineered Geologic Hydrogen Demonstration in the USA
HyTerra Limited has signed a binding collaboration agreement with GeoKiln Energy Innovation Inc to advance geologic hydrogen commercialization. The partnership will explore a hybrid approach to hydrogen production using GeoKiln's proprietary MSSH™ technology, culminating in a live demonstration within a drilled wellbore over a 12-month period.
HyTerra will provide geological data and well access, while GeoKiln will supply technology and cover related expenses. Concurrently, HyTerra is participating in the Renaissance Philanthropy Geologic Hydrogen Open Site Challenge to support research in hydrogen generation.
Recent exploration results from HyTerra’s Nemaha Project in Kansas indicate significant hydrogen and helium concentrations, reinforcing the region's potential for low-carbon energy solutions. The collaboration aligns with the global trend towards geologic hydrogen as a cost-effective energy source, supported by Fortescue’s recent strategic investment in HyTerra.
