Hyundai E&C and Hyundai Motor Group Develop V2G System for Distributed Energy Projects

Hyundai Engineering & Construction and Hyundai Motor Group are collaborating on distributed energy projects, focusing on vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology to utilize electric vehicles as mobile batteries. A 15-member consortium, including Kia and Korea Electric Power Corp., is working on this initiative, with demonstrations planned through 2028.

Additionally, Hyundai E&C targets over 12 trillion won in offshore wind orders by 2030 and is exploring hydrogen production methods. They have signed a power purchase agreement with Hyundai Mobis and are coordinating with regulatory bodies.
