HyveGeo Wins FoodTech Challenge for Biochar Solution in Desert Agriculture

CARBON CAPTURE

HyveGeo, an Abu Dhabi-based startup, has won the FoodTech Challenge during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week for its innovative use of engineered biochar to transform arid desert soil into fertile farmland. Selected from 1,215 submissions globally, HyveGeo will share a USD 2 million prize and receive support to scale its operations, joining other winners from Asia, Africa, and South America in promoting agri-tech solutions for climate-stressed regions.
