Incat Crowther is designing a 28-meter hydrogen fuel cell-electric ferry for New York in partnership with SWITCH Maritime. The vessel will carry 150 passengers at 25 knots, with a compressed hydrogen storage capacity of 720 kg for a full day's operations. Supported by a $2 million grant from NYSERDA, the project aims to provide a zero-emission transport solution while integrating into existing ferry networks without the need for new shoreside infrastructure.
