India and the UK have established the India-UK Offshore Wind Taskforce to enhance strategic leadership in offshore wind energy. The initiative aligns with the India-UK Vision 2035 and aims to develop India's offshore wind ecosystem, leveraging the UK's experience and India's growing clean energy demand.

The taskforce will focus on ecosystem planning, infrastructure, and financing to support offshore wind projects, with significant funding allocated to early initiatives. India has already achieved over 272 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity.
