India's government has initiated a $166 million critical mineral recycling program to reduce reliance on imports. The scheme grants a 20% capital expenditure subsidy to companies investing in advanced technology for recycling lithium, cobalt, and nickel, among others.

Applications are open until April 1, with the initiative expected to develop 270,000 metric tons of recycling capacity and create 70,000 jobs. Companies like Attero Recycling and Lohum Cleantech are poised to benefit from this program, which is part of a broader National Critical Mineral Mission.
