India-UK Offshore Wind Taskforce Launched; India Achieves 272 GW Non-Fossil Fuel Power Capacity

India's Union Minister Pralhad Joshi announced that the country has surpassed 272 GW of non-fossil fuel generation capacity, including 141 GW from solar and 55 GW from wind energy. This milestone was highlighted during the launch of the India-UK Offshore Wind Taskforce, which aims to support India's renewable energy goals of 500 GW by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2070. Key officials from the UK attended the event, emphasizing collaboration in offshore wind development.
