The Indian Armed Forces are set to utilize 46,000 acres of unutilized defence land for green energy projects, including solar and biogas plants, over the next three to five years. Collaborating with the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Green, the initiative aims to enhance environmental sustainability while generating revenue to improve Defence infrastructure. A consultant is assessing feasible options, with the first pilot project focusing on a solar plant in a designated state.
