The Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) announced significant progress in 2025, achieving milestones in defence and merchant marine sectors, including the completion of its first new construction project for Penguin Shipyard and classing vessels from CMA CGM and Maersk. With the establishment of a new office in Saudi Arabia and advancements in digital transformation, IRS delivered 115 vessels globally and supported the Indian Navy's fleet modernization.
