Indonesia Promotes Circular Economy to Unlock New Business Opportunities
CIRCULAR ECONOMY & RECYCLING
Indonesia's circular economy implementation aims to reduce waste and create new business opportunities across sectors. YW Junardy, President of UN Global Compact Network Indonesia, highlighted that this transition could significantly contribute to the national GDP by Rp593-638 trillion by 2030 and generate over 4.4 million green jobs.
The private sector's role is crucial for driving this transformation, with government support in providing green financing ecosystems and incentives. The IGCN Circular Economy Working Group was launched to foster collaboration and innovation in this area.
