Inpasa Expands Ethanol Production Focus to Brazil's North and Northeast Regions
BIOFUELS
Brazil's ethanol producer, Inpasa, is shifting its strategy to drive demand for corn-based ethanol in the north and northeast regions of Brazil, as sugarcane production stagnates. The company plans to build multiple corn ethanol plants in partnership with agricultural group Amaggi in Mato Grosso.
Additionally, Inpasa is incorporating sorghum into its production due to its resilience in diverse climates. With significant greenhouse gas savings reported in its Paraguay operations, Inpasa believes its ethanol will appeal to international markets seeking sustainable fuel options.
