International Partnership Launches Hydroexchange Project for Hydrogen Economy Research
The University of Western Australia, the University of Koblenz, and Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University have launched the Hydroexchange project to advance research and technical innovation for a hydrogen economy. This international partnership aims to conduct a comparative study of integrated hydrogen systems at an industrial scale in Germany and Australia, facilitating socio-economic transformation in these regions.
The project combines engineering and chemical methodologies with academic analyses of stakeholder structures and global supply chains. Recent field studies in Germany, including a workshop at the University of Koblenz, focused on public perception of green hydrogen and the role of universities in this transition. A memorandum of understanding to enhance long-term cooperation was signed between UWA and the University of Koblenz.
