Investigation of Catalyst Deactivation in Industrial Processes for Biomass and VOC Treatment
HYDROGEN
The study examines catalyst deactivation across three industrial processes: 1) Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) for NOx reduction from biomass combustion utilizing V2O5-WO3/TiO2 catalysts; 2) Catalytic oxidation of volatile organic compounds (VOC) from printing industries with a Pt/γ-Al2O3 catalyst; and 3) Steam reforming of bio-syngas from biomass gasification using Ni and Pt/Rh catalysts. Laboratory experiments were conducted to simulate industrial conditions to understand the impact of various compounds on catalyst performance.
