WIND ENERGY
ISLA and its subsidiary EST are enhancing offshore wind capabilities at Augusta Port, Italy, with a government funding allocation of EUR 50 million. The port will feature upgraded heavy lift operations, including four cranes and plans for higher-capacity cranes, to optimize logistics for transporting turbine components. With a draft of 14.5 meters and a dedicated 450-meter berth, Augusta aims to establish itself as a central hub for offshore wind project cargo in the Mediterranean.
